Russian upper house to support Egypt in resumption of flights

MOSCOW, Jul 13 (PRIME) -- The Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament, will support Egypt in resumption of flights between the countries, Federation Council’s deputy chairperson Ilyas Umakhanov told reporters on Wednesday.

“Federation Council Chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko said at a meeting with Egyptian parliamentarians that she will do her best to resume them,” he said.

Moscow ceased flights to Egypt in November 2015 after a major Russian plane crash over the Sinai Peninsula. Russia believes that the plane was likely brought down by a bomb.
